100% correct for the stock market, but there are alternatives with different risk/reward profiles. Investing in single-family rental houses, for example, can normally beat 15% returns for long periods with minimal risk. It’s easier too, from my experience trying both. And while it takes some effort to find properties, owning them is mostly passive when using property management companies. So my philosophy is to make the extra money and invest it in teal estate to get both more money and higher returns.
