Congrats and keep up the good work! Yes, there is definitely a seedy underbelly to Medium in certain subjects. I find that there are lots of PAVE (people against virtually everything) that lurk in the shadows of certain authors who write about how the world is such a horrible and unfair place because they aren't as rich as Elon Musk. Fortunately, a better breed of people is reading personal finance articles, so the interactions are usually more civil as long as you don't jump into politics!
