Congratulations on your success. To me the key is education and diligent, careful practice. I'm a value investor in the style of Benjamin Graham (I always recommend investors read "Security Analysis"), and I do very well in the market. Sure, I don't catch the Tesla's, but I don't lose my capital on them either. I would rather have solid 20%+ returns year after year than have 100% gains followed by 90% losses, etc.
