Exactly. The vast majority of money chasing crypto is speculative, meaning they buy as the price is rising and sell when the price drops. They just hope to make a quick buck. That makes it volatile and a poor hedge against inflation. It behaves more like an overpriced tech stock, which makes sense when you think about how/why most people buy it. The true believers are different, but they likely bought it a long time ago for a much lower price. Only time will tell if they are right or not.
