Good discussion. Personally, I believe that risk comes more from not understanding the investment and that some of the best investments with the highest return are low risk, because if you know what you are doing and know that the investment is solid, you can make a lot of money with little risk. Buying real estate or stocks in companies at a significant discount is typically quite low risk if you know what you are doing — so the goal should always be to learn more and get better!
