Good discussion. To create significant wealth (say more than $5 million) in less than ten years, a business is pretty much is the only way. However, in 10 to 20 years things like real estate are a great way to get there. I consistently make over 20% returns with single family houses (30% if you include the past two years). That has allowed me to build significant wealth over the past 7 years. Like your advice on getting extra income, you should focus your investments to one or two things that work well for you. Diversification is a defensive move and doesn’t build wealth. You need to concentrate on something both powerful and stable, like real estate.
