Good discussion. What I would say is some income sources are more passive than others. A job is active. A business is active. Content creation is active but can have passive residual income. Buying real estate is active, but managing real estate is passive if you use property management companies. So it takes work to build a portfolio, but afterwards the income and appreciation are big return for little work.
