Great idea, I have kids and use a system of reward and punishment for both financial and regular activities. Me eldest went into "debt" on her lunch card in school by not paying attention to the balance. I made her do twice as many chores to pay it off to teach her that debt is more expensive than cash. Hopefully the message sticks!
