Husain, thanks for your note. Yes, making money by active stock investing is very difficult, and most people would do better sticking with passive investing. But it is something that works for some. I've been investing in real estate for over a decade, and while I've built up a nice pile of equity, the cash flow is not anything close to what could support my family, and also the RE market in the US has been crazy since Covid, so I haven't purchased any RE since 2019. I've found more opportunities in stocks, which is why it is a level I try to include for myself (but everyone has to find what works for them). Ultimately, I agree that active business ownership is the best (but also most difficult) way to achieve financial independence.
