Konberg, thanks for reading and responding. Agreed that beating the market is not easy, certainly when investing in the market. My experience has shown me that it is easier to beat the market with different assets, like real estate. But even there, you have to know what you are doing. If people are unable or unwilling to learn more about investing, then I believe they should stick to low-cost index funds, which can be both inside and outside a 401k.
