Nick, thanks for reading and commenting. In general, I agree that owning a modest house is often better than renting, but it does depend on the situation. Some people rent and invest the difference, which can also work well. The point is both are expenses, not investing. So everyone can find what works best for their situation but focus on reducing their expenses as much as practical and investing the rest in something that will actually build wealth.
