Not sure I agree with the research presented. The authors mistakenly assume there is only one path to retirement (401k at age 67). If you start saving and investing early, and you get good at it, you can have many more options in life, including retiring early through real estate and other investments. How much you suffer to build this freedom is up to you; it is a balance everyone has to strike.
