Topher, not sure if all states have a homestead exemption to prevent property taxes from raising too fast? I also use a firm to protest my taxes every year. They charge a portion of the savings, so no cost if they don’t keep your taxes down. In Texas we have property tax around 2.5% to 3%, so it is significant and needs to be managed.
