Wisdom can often come in small packages, and wisdom about building wealth is no different.

Today’s quote is again from Warren Buffett, one of the wisest of all investors:

“The most important quality for an investor is temperament, not intellect.”

Often, it is easy to think that we aren’t wealthy because we don’t know some “secret”.

While there is much to learn about money and building wealth, the most important thing to learn is self-control.

Can you control your spending?

Can you find the time and energy required to learn about investing?

Can you diligently and patiently follow an investing program until you find success?

Can you control yourself when you see your friends “get rich quick” in some risky endeavor?

Can you control yourself when you see the market tank during a correction or bear market?

You don’t need to have a degree from Harvard or know complex math to build wealth. Common sense and a strong stomach are far more useful.
