While I agree that low-cost index investing is the best place for people to start, claiming it will be a “12% annual return guaranteed” is misleading. Returns are never guaranteed, and future results may not be similar to past results. 12% is above average for this benchmark to begin with. It has returned 10% return from 1920 through 2019. Education is key, so I recommend reading “The Little Book on Common Sense Investing” by John Bogle, the inventor of index funds, to understand how they work and why you should invest in them.
