Wisdom can often come in small packages, and wisdom about building wealth is no different.

Today’s quote is from Robert Kiyosaki, the famous author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad”:

Like many of you growing up and listening to mainstream financial advice, I always thought that you needed to work for money.

Get a degree with some useful skillset, then sign up to a corporation that will pay you to come in every day and work

That’s how it is supposed to work, right?

Well, only if you don’t mind being stuck in the rat race and not building significant wealth.

If you want to build serious wealth, the kind that can provide you with security and freedom, then you need to work for free.

Work for free? Are you crazy?

Maybe, but hear me out.

Steve Jobs famously had a salary of $1 per year while leading Apple, and he’s not the only one.
