Yup, when you are buying stocks, you want them to be cheap (not expensive). It is only when you are selling stocks that you want them to be expensive. That's one reason why it is good to keep a bit of cash (or bonds) on the side to rebalance after a major market move like a crash. Just another way to help you buy low and sell high.
